Rules:
- One submission
per student currently attending 3rd, 4th or 5th grade in a public or
private school.
- Must use 8 1/2 by
11 white copy paper. Drawings may be done in crayons, colored pencils,
markers or pen and ink. Drawings must be done free hand. No
computers, stencils, tracing, parental help, etc.
- The theme of
“Agriculture in the Garden State” may be further developed to focus on
any aspect of agriculture (for example: harvesting of fruits and
vegetables, management of livestock, or general farming operations). A
title may be used in the drawing.
- Judging will be
based upon creativity of theme and overall presentation. In the event a
large amount of entries are received, the judges will pick a group of
finalists. The public’s choice will be used, along with the judges’
choice to select the grand prize winner. The public will vote for their
favorite finalists by ballot during the Lion’s
Strawberry Fair, Monmouth Park Race Track Parking Lot.
- Name, home phone,
grade, age and school must be written in pencil on the back of the
artwork. Any student or school identification on the front of the
artwork will disqualify the submission.
- Artwork is to
mailed to the Oceanport Lion’s Club, P.O. Box 72, Oceanport, NJ 07757
and must be postmarked by May 12, 2008.
- Artwork will not
be returned and will become the property of the Oceanport Lions’ Club.
Finalists and all other entries (space permitting) will be displayed at
the Strawberry Fair.
- The winner will
be announced after the Strawberry Fair is concluded. The winner will be
notified and need not be present.
